Almaty, September 14,1999

The Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) Member States, having met in Almaty on September 14, 1999,

Signed the Declaration on Principles Guiding Relations Among the CICA Member States,

Reaffirmed their support to the further development of the CICA process as a regional forum,

Agreed to continue working within the framework of the Special Working Group to prepare the CICA document to be signed by the Heads of State and Government.

They expressed their gratitude and deep appreciation to His Excellency Mr. Nursultan Nazarbayev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the People and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the warm reception and hospitality as well as for the outstanding preparatory work and excellent organizational arrangements.
